The Conservation Agenda
A Conservation Agenda for Natural Nebraska.
It’s a new day for conservation in Nebraska. For the first time, organizations representing varied regions and interests are coming together to agree on issues that affect the well-being of Nebraskans from all walks of life and all parts of the state.
This is the Conservation Agenda for Natural Nebraska, highlighting four issues which are critical to the future of a strong and healthy environment that will support the communities we live in and that our children will inherit. We invite you to join us in taking these important programs from concept to reality, by communicating your concerns to your elected officials at all levels of government.
Look inside and select at least one issue in which you can become involved as an individual. You can register HERE for the Legislative Digest, a weekly e-mail update of developments in the legislative session that affect Common Agenda issues and suggestions for ways you can make a difference.
In addition, we’ll prepare a Scorecard for Natural Nebraska at the end of the legislative session, summarizing the bills and the votes of your elected representatives on these important issues. It is the start of a meaningful conversation between voters and their officials to pursue a vigorous and responsible plan to maintain the natural resources Nebraskans rely upon to preserve our quality of life.
Whether we are Republicans, Democrats, or Independents, now Nebraskans can speak with in chorus to ensure that our children and grandchildren enjoy the benefits that have enriched our lives, including clean air, healthy and abundant water, and wide open spaces.
