Community Based Energy Development - It's How Nebraska Builds Wind
Dan Juhl, CEO Juhl Wind Inc.
Nebraska is unique; our public power system means that the wind energy development models that work in other states don’t apply as well to Nebraska. In 2007 the Nebraska Legislature passed the Rural Community-Based Energy Development (C-BED) Act to ensure that Nebraska can build wind and that Nebraskans are the ones who benefit. At this crucial time for energy, the public and policymakers are invited to learn more about Community-Based Energy Development because it’s how Nebraska builds wind.
For over 30 years Mr. Juhl has pioneered conservation, renewable energy technologies, particularly wind power, and Community-Based Energy Development in the Midwest. During his tenure in the wind industry, Dan’s activities have covered every aspect of the technology including design, manufacturing, development, and installation.
Mr. Juhl is considered to be one of the nation’s leading experts on wind technology and community owned renewable distributive generation. He has been instrumental in helping to form public policy by working with legislators and regulators on the workings and benefits of utilizing renewables in the energy mix.
