More than 90 Nebraskans gathered to celebrate the First Annual NLCV Awards Gala on October 30. National League of Conservation Voters Vice President Tony Massaro joined NLCV President Dale Gubbels in presenting Senator Ben Nelson with NLCV's Seven Generations Award for his career commitment to environmental stewardship, most recently demonstrated through his success in obtaining funding for the federal government's portion of the Platte River Recovery program. After enjoying a fabulous dinner at Chez Hay, the party adjourned to the Lied Center for the Performing Arts to enjoy political song and satire presented by the Capital Steps.NLCV especially thanks the hosts and sponsors who made this event possible, including business sponsors Chez Hay, DesignWear, Egan Supply, Fairfield Research, Michael Forsberg Photography, Olsson & Associates, and the Nebraska State Recycling Association. Individual hosts include John Cunningham, Dale and Mary Gubbels, Mary Harding and Richard Erickson, Richard Holland, Norris Marshall, Lynn Roper, and Michael and Gail Yanney.
Thank you for a wonderful evening!
